Honey Roasted Giant Hornet Larvae

Thai giant banded hornet larvae (Vespa affinis) marinated in organic logan honey and slow roasted over medium heat.

Giant hornet larvae is said to contain a whopping 82% protien which is one of the highest levels of all edible insect species.

Hornet larvae is hard to find and difficult to collect, hence the high price tag per gram. However it tastes delicious roasted with honey, it has a creamy sweet taste similar to sweet potato.

This bag contains 6 grams of hornet larvae (approx 15 larvae in total). The roasting process removes all water content and decreases the size of the larvae, this concentrates the protein content.
